FirstCol is a leading Homecare services provider and a Care Agency renowned for providing quality and reliable healthcare staffing solutions throughout the UK, since 2006. We work with NHS Trusts, Local Councils and private healthcare organisations, specialising in supplying Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Allied Healthcare professionals, Support Workers and Cleaning/Kitchen staff.
As Administrative Assistant, you will be our point of contact for colleagues and suppliers to arrange and monitor facilities and services across our business.
Assisting the Quality Manager you will also play an important role in the Company’s mandate to deliver on our quality objectives throughout the business.
As an administrative assistant you will be required to attend meetings to take minutes along with updating our portals and systems as required. Due to the nature if the role you will be required to demonstrate your understanding of confidentiality and maturity when dealing with sensitive matters.
You will have solutions-focused approach to resolving Business Support queries whilst remaining compliant with legislation and regulations. You may not have the answers yourself, and previous experience of care services isn’t required, but you’ll take personal responsibility to find out and keep everyone informed.
You will be drafting correspondence, assisting in pulling together tender submissions and chasing their progress; assisting the Quality Manager to keeping us on top of deadlines so we keep one step ahead. Tracking projects through, you will also be preparing documentation so excellent IT skills are as fundamental to the role as great attention to detail.
An eye for quality will also be called on when preparing documentation and engaging with suppliers!
You will have a can do attitude and be happy to assist in all areas of the business if there is a demand.

Key responsibilities for the role:
- Keeping an inventory of company equipment and office supplies
- Managing the company facilities
- Fleet car management
- Providing project support as required
- Assisting with Quality accreditations
- Assisting with audits and implementation of corrective actions
- Minute taking
This is an Office based role only. Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with the occasional expectation to work overtime to meet business needs.
